He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and has over 20 years of professional experience — including 13 years as a developer of software and AI models, and 7 years at TÜV SÜD, a leading notified body.
At TÜV SÜD, Dr. Rad led strategic business development and played a key role in establishing state-of-the-art cybersecurity and AI laboratories in Singapore, Japan, India, and Germany. He was instrumental in developing robust conformity assessment procedures for software in medical devices and AI applications, aligned with international standards. As chair of the Working Group on New Technologies of the notified bodies under Team-NB, Dr. Rad was a driving force behind widely recognized checklists for cybersecurity and AI — a milestone for new technologies in healthcare.
