Bastian Krapinger-Rüther, Geschäftsführer & Gründer Flinn.ai

Bastian Krapinger-Rüther co-developed two innovative medical device companies—MEON Medical Solutions and Carbomed Medical Solutions—in the field of in vitro diagnostics (IVDR) and respiratory gas analysis (MDR) with over 120 employees. His responsibilities included the entire clinical and regulatory domain.

Observing that highly qualified clinical and regulatory experts still spend a significant portion of their time on copy-pasting and documentation without practical solutions motivated him to found Flinn.ai. Flinn focuses on significantly increasing the efficiency and robustness of clinical and regulatory processes through workflow automation and the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Concurrently, Bastian advances the transformation of documents into structured data to extract additional value from existing processes. He collaborates with many global leading medical device manufacturers to measurably optimize their processes with tailor-made software.

What matters most to him as a speaker:
"With my talks, I want to give people who are not yet deeply involved with AI and automation in medical device regulatory affairs a transparent understanding of the opportunities and challenges. The topic holds great potential but also requires understanding and contextual knowledge and should not be approached uncritically. Helping numerous clinical and regulatory experts gain knowledge about the interface to technology is my passion."
